An incredible 5,000 homes affected by last years floods are still not habitable, according to a report from BBC Radio 5 today.
The radio station has based its report on findings from local authorities, but also say that the number could be higher still as it is believed that some people have not notified the authorities of their position.
More than 10,000 people are believed to be waiting to return home after the damage from the summer floods. A shortage of skilled labour is thought to be the main reason that homes are still uninhabitable.
An estimate of £3billion in claims was caused by last summers storms.
