An AA spokesman has suggested that footballer Cristiano Ronaldo may find it extremely difficult to get motor insurance following his recent accident when he wrote off his Ferrari in Manchester.
It’s not particularly about the cars the footballer owns and drives, or the value of them, explains the man from the AA. It is more about the Personal Injury claims that have taken the UK market by storm over recent years.
If for instance Ronaldo was to be involved in another major accident while carrying a couple of Manchester United team mates and all of the occupants received injuries that ended their football careers, insurers would be faced with a massive payout, not only for loss of earnings, but also to pay sponsors for failure to fulfil contracts.
However, money talks, as they say.

If Ronaldo can blow thousands and thousands on a car (and have the money to keep it running), I doubt a few more thousands to insure it to carry his colleagues will worry him.
