Police Use MID To Crackdown On Illegal Drivers

Police in the South West of England and Wales mounted ‘Operation Utah’ last week, using the Motor Insurers’ Bureau database (MID) to target a crackdown on uninsured vehicles.
The successful operation ran for five days utilising two hundred police officers using APNR technology, which scans vehicle registration plates and matches them to the database.
