A survey carried out on behalf of travel insurer Travel Advisor, found that 69% of respondents intended buying an annual multi trip policy over the next twelve months.
The multi trip insurance offers a one off premium that covers several trips abroad during the year. Once again there are many offers available for this type of insurance and it is advisable to check out the best deals available before purchase.
While checking out the prices also be sure to check that the cover on offer is ‘like for like’ with various insurance companies. This is often not the case, so be sure to get the cover that you want or need rather than opting for the cheapest offer.
Time spent perusing the travel insurance options can save you money and ensure that you have the required cover, rather than leaving it to the last minute and taking the cheapest offer.
The Trip Advisor research also found that 85% of us take out travel insurance before we leave for a trip abroad, leaving 15% who travel with no insurance.
