Esure the online insurance provider is to create 500 new jobs in Glasgow over the next five years, thanks to a massive £1.4million grant from the Scottish government. Taking advantage of the Regional Selective Assistance grant, Esure will expand it’s operations in Glasgow, creating 250 new jobs over the coming 18 months and a further 250 by 2014.
Esure chairman Peter Wood has said that he is ‘absolutely delighted’ to make this commitment to Scotland and to Glasgow in these terrible economic times. The company already employs 610 people at its Equinox office in Glasgow, it’s largest site.
Esure recently took joint second place in a survey, conducted by Global reviews, for it’s motor insurance online application process. The company shares second place with Admiral while the poll was topped by More than.
